The Federal Government has unveiled its HomeBuilder package, offering $25,000 for people to upgrade or build their homes!
To be eligible to access the Home Builders Grant you must meet the criteria. You need to be an Adult Individual Australian Citizen with a taxable income less than $125,000 a year or a couple with a combined taxable income of less than $200,000.
Before the end of the year you will need to enter into a building contract to renovate or build your new home as your main place of residence, with construction starting within 3 months of the contract date.
For renovations on your exisiting home you need to spend between $150,000 and $750,000 and where the value of your existing property does not exceed $1.5 million prior to renovations.
For new builds , the total value of the completed home needs to be less than $750,000, including the land.
